It's the state of bliss you think you're dreaming..

Ok now it's time for a hari raya story.

Well, my Raya was so-so. Nothing special except the fact that I got to spend one WHOLE week with my ENTIRE family. Nothing beats that. To have all my brothers and sisters under one roof, to hear my 2 years old niece and nephew screaming and laughing all night long, to cuddle with the girls on bed, to have a bunch of gossip sessions with Emak dearest and the fellow sisters, and most of all, to not having to think of all those files on my desk are what I call happiness :)

I can't imagine how does a real mother feels about her own kid, for I love my nieces and nephew to bits. Tersangat-sangat yang sangat sehingga tidak dapat aku bayangkan bagaimana pula rasa sayang yang akan wujud dalam diri aku terhadap anak aku sendiri nanti. Tentulah lebih sayang, tapi bagaimanakah lojiknya lebih itu, sedangkan yang sayang ini pun tersangat-sangatlah banyaknya. Get me?

I might sound cliche, but you can't imagine how much I love them. Seriously. Period.

Saya suka cara Eddie memohon maaf di pagi raya. Walaupun sekadar bermaaf-maafan di telefon, I could feel his sincerity.. I was also surprised by the way my lil bro apologized. He was never that type this boy you know. Ego tinggi melampau. So, bila sekali dia salam cium tangan and say 'Ayie mintak maaf semua salah silap Ayie', I know he really really mean it.

Well, I must admit that by days, I'm getting closer and closer to Eddie's mom. We are getting more and more comfortable with each other. Begitu juga with the rest of the family. I feel so belong. No more segan segan either on my part or on their part. Semuanya dah true color. Haha. But still, when Mama introduced me as 'bakal menantu' to the guests, I couldn't help it. I feel awkward. You know, the acknowledgment. Apa aku nak respon? Nak angguk ke? Nak geleng ke? Sudahnya, aku buat muka blur and left her saying 'Betul la.. Yatie kan bakal menantu Mama.. Kiter kena stret forward jer skang ni..'.

Both Eddie and I, hanya mampu senyum. Later in the car, Eddie said all he felt was a bliss. We take it as a doa' and blessing from a mother. Amin.

In short, I must say that my Raya this year was a blissful one, doncha think?
